The Egyptians had many different kinds of festivals such as: religious festivals, festivals the annual flooding of the Nile, for the life-giving force of the sun, for the seasons, and for the birth, death, and crowning of pharaohs. They also had festivals for the special days of the year,the new year and the first day of every month. During the festivals there were sacraficial offerings, feasting, and drinking and dancing.
