Thintana
- i-Learn was a R21,2 m project funded by Thintana Communications.
- Implemented between August 2000 and July 2002.
- 200 computer centres established in disadvantaged schools throughout the country. Each school received 14 networked computers with Internet connectivity.
- A minimum of 10 educators per school received training through face-to-face and distance education methods.
- At least 2 educators per school received training in technical administration.
- The project was aligned to the strategic development objectives of the Provincial Departments of Education.
- A monitoring and evaluation programme has been implemented to measure effectiveness of the project.

Telkom
- SuperCentres Project funded by the Telkom Foundation
- A follow-on from the Telkom Internet 1000 project in which each school received 20 networked computers, this second phase aims to create 100 SuperCentres.
- SchoolNet SA has been contracted to manage the project which includes
- The selection of participating schools
- The training and development of minimum of 20 educators per school
- The training of 2 teachers per school in technical administration
- A monitoring and evaluation programme to measure the educational effectiveness of the project

Nortel
- Phumelela Networks Project funded by Nortel Networks in collaboration with, among others, Internet Solutions.
- Objective: to provide Internet access to historically disadvantaged areas.
- 3 provincial, community based hub-sites with a 64k leased line were established in Vuwani (Northern Province), Katlehong (Gauteng) and Qunu (Eastern Cape).

- Project revolves around learners and teachers in various countries collaborating in Learning Circles (derived from Margaret Riel's Learning Circles of I*EARN) and other education projects.

World Links
World Links is a non-profit organisation based in Washington DC and operational throughout the developing world. SchoolNet SA has implemented the World Links programme in numerous secondary schools in North West, Eastern and Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. Provincial training centres are being set up in each province.
Objective: To improve education and employment opportunities with a particular focus on teacher development.
