8	"One day the Governor of..." One day the Governor of the city asked all the people to come to a meeting. When they were talking , they heard a knock on the door and a stranger came in. He wore a long coat. Half of it was red and half was yellow. He was carrying a pipe. He said to the Governor. “When I play my pipe I can make all animals run after me. If I take away all the rats from your city,will you give me a thousand guilders?” “A thousand guilders?” said the Governor. “We’ll give you fifty thousand!”

16	"One day," One day, Dayang Sumbi asked Sangkuriang to hunt in the forest and get her a deer's liver. After long enough hunting, Sangkuriang couldn't get it. So Sangkuriang decided to kill Tumang which he didn't know that Tumang was his father. Innocently, he took Tumang's liver and gave it to his mother. His mother cooked and ate it. Afterward, because Sangkuriang felt guilty, he told the truth to his mother that the liver she had eaten was actually Tumang's liver. Knowing the fact, Dayang Sumbi was so furious and hit Sangkuriang on the head until he fell down and lost his memory.
17	"Twenty years later," Twenty years later, Sangkuriang came back to his hometown. Unexpectedly, he met his mother and fell in love with her without knowing that she was his mother. After a period of time, Dayang Sumbi realized that Sangkuriang was her son by looking at the wound on his head. Sangkuriang proposed Dayang Sumbi to be his wife, but of course she wouldn't accept it, but she didn't want to make him angry. To avoid marrying him, she gave him one condition before marrying her; Sangkuriang had to make a huge vessel just in one night, before the sun rose. Dayang Sumbi was so sure that he wouldn't make it, so she could go away.
18	"Sangkuriang gave his best effort..." Sangkuriang gave his best effort to make it. He made it by having some helps from genies. But when he went to Dayang Sumbi's place, he couldn't find her and realized that she had run away. He was really disappointed. To release his anger, he kicked the vessel and suddenly it became a mountain. The mountain which is now very famous in West Java island, namely the mount of Tangkuban Parahu, means "the up side down vessel". We are studying in Sri Aman Girls High School. There are 34 students in our class. Therefore we are divided into 5 groups.We got your questions about folktales and here areourresponses: The first story is titled Bawang Putih and Bawang Merah. This story is about two sisters whom have the same father but different mothers. Bawang Merah’s(BM) mother passed away and she was badly threaten by her stepmother and Bawang Putih(BP).Everyday, she would play the swing while singing with her beautiful voice.The swing was tied to a tree where she buried fish bones. The fish was cooked by BP(apart of BP’s evil plan)because she knows that Bm cared about that fish. One day, as she was singing, a prince came to search for the voice. Her stepmothers hid her and ask BP to sing. The prince wasn’t satisfied and found BM hiding. When BM sang, the prince had fallen in love with her. So,he proposed BM and they get married in the palace.
25	The second story is Pak Kaduk In one state named Cempaka Sari, lived an old couple, Pak Kaduk and his wife. Pak Kaduk had a lucky chicken named “Biring Si Kunani”. He wants to have a battle with the king of the village. The battle is using a chicken. One day, he is wearing a cloth is made up from paper that his wife sews it, to go to the arena battle. Before the battle started the king knew that Pak Kaduk’s chicken is lucky, so he want to exchange his chicken with Pak Kaduk. Pak Kaduk agrees to exchange the chicken and he bet with the honour his own village. At the end of the battle “Biring Si Kunani” won the battle. Pak Kaduk was so happy until his cloth is torn. All the people around Pak Kaduk are laughing at him. He was feeling something strange and he looks up to his body, he realizes that his cloth was torn and he is completely naked. Pak Kaduk realizes that he has exchanged it his chicken with king. He was so sad and ashamed of himself that his village is the prize for the battle. The king took his village.
26	The third story is about Lebai Malang, whom called as Pak Lebai. Once, there lived with his wife, Mak Lebai. Pak Lebai is a very religious person. One day, he received three invitations at one time. He takes a long time to make a decision of where to go first. At the end, all feasts were over and he went back with a piece of "lempeng". On his way home, a wild dog took his food and he chased it until there were a log that the wild dog hide it selves. The log has two holes of way out, so he takes off his shirt to put at at the one of the holes and he take off his trouser and put another hole. But the wild dog found another way out to escape. Than Pak Lebai wasn't want to waste his time and he went to chase the wild dog with the naked body. So, he got home naked and was beaten by his wife.
