In our country, Indonesia, of course we
have some famous folktales
which become our favourite stories. Since Indonesia consists of many big and small
islands, and also various tribes and their
customs, so we have a lot of folktales which are famous in each local area. Among them, we like
"Sangkuriang" best, one of the
folktales which comes from West Java. The reasons why we like it because, the first, we come from
West Java, or this is the island
where we live, and the second, this story is romantic, it's about never ending love story, and the
third, it has some valuable lessons
that we can take from it such as loyalty, honesty and the feeling of respect to our parents,
etc.
