Internet to word processor integration (Intermediate level)
As an educator you will compile documents for your learners. You should always type the notes in your own words using Microsoft Word. You may want to quote a passage of text from the Internet. You may also want to include a picture from the Internet. In both cases you should cite the sources of your information.
Note: It is not acceptable practice to simply copy and paste a whole page from the Internet or any other source. This is plagiarism.
By the end of this task you could achieve the following outcomes:
- Look for information in the Internet
- Evaluate the content of a website
- Copy and paste information
- Save an image from the Internet
- Cite information sources in a footnote
- Link information from the Internet to a word document.

|Create a hyperlink: You can create a hyperlink to the source website in the footnote, so that the interested reader can click to see the source website. See how »
|Saving pictures from the Web: It is advisable to first save a picture found on the Internet before inserting it into a document. See how »
