Create a Collage (Beginner level)

As an educator you may want to prepare an attention-grabbing introduction to a new topic of study. You decide to do this by creating a media-rich presentation. You look for and find many stunning photographs and decide to create a series of collages. You will use Bing find the images and then use AutoCollage to create the collages.

Note: AutoCollage is free for teachers and is available for download from Microsoft Website at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52033

By the end of this task you could achieve the following outcomes:

Download an example - Start Autocollage
- Select the photo folder
- Create a collage
- Crop an image in Picture Manager
- Save a collage

Create your own newsletter - one which you will find useful. Alternatively, follow this example. To do so you would typically work through the following steps:

1. Use Bing to look for images. See how »
2. Save the images from the web: Save these pictures to a folder sepcially created for your collage. Once you have saved a number of pictures select the final images that you want to include in the collage. See how »
3. Start AutoCollage. See how »
4. Select the photos: Here you are pointing at the photo folder in which you saved the images from Bing. See how »
5. Create a collage: The collage will be created and you can decide to accept it or reject it. See how »
6. Review the collage: If you accept the collage skip to step 9. If you reject it simply follow the Create procedure again (Step 5). If you want to edit images before proceeding, go to step 7. See how »
7. Crop an image: Open the image in Microsoft Office Picture Manager and edit the picture. See how »
8. Re-create a collage: Once you have the final edited pictures saved, create the collage again. See how »
9. Save a collage. See how »
