PiL - Peer Coaching

The purpose of this programme is to introduce teachers in schools to a structured method of sharing ideas about new ways of teaching with ICT integration. The materials focus on good communication skills and simple resources to support the dialogue between peers.

The programme of training peer coaches consists of 8 separate 6-hour facilitator-led workshops that take place over the period of 9 months. Peer coaches engage teachers in a low key and flexible way. The act of peer coaching has been described as "as a series of quiet conversations". This programme is a good way to introduce ongoing staff development for enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in the school.
