Android #8: Get started with Class Dojo–a class motivational tool!

Unfortunately my Android tablet isn’t compatible with Class Dojo. Pity because this is a fantastic application for an elementary school teacher to use on his/her tablet. However I can still use the website version on my Android tablet.

What is Class Dojo?
Class Dojo is a free online tool which allows the class teacher to manage and record behaviour and provide instant feedback to the class. It encourages learners to take responsibility for their own behaviour, and puts the focus on positive instead of negative behaviour. As well as awarding or removing points one can give the whole class a point each for a good behaviour. Best is that a graph can be created easily fr each student daily and this can be shared with the parent of the student. An end of term/year certificate can also be created for a student and sent home.

How to use Class Dojo in your classroom

When I first tried out Class Dojo I took screenshots of what I did so have added them here as a slideshow. Why not give Class Dojo a try and see if it works for you?

Benefits of using Class Dojo with your students

ClassDojo helps teachers improve behavior in their classrooms quickly and easily. It also captures and generates data on behavior that teachers can share with parents and administrators.

Teachers can use this app to give students realtime feedback while in class – it will sync with the main ClassDojo website.

Better learning habits, smoother lessons, and hassle-free data – and it’s free for teachers!

NEW: Parents can now view their child’s progress via the ClassDojo app! Just ask your child’s teacher for an email invite or a parent code.
