How our South African MiE Experts are using Microsoft Office Sway

Have you tried this llovely new Microsoft product Microsoft Sway? Microsoft’s Sway, an online tool for creating presentation documents, is now generally available to the public. Previously, a waiting list was in place. What makes Sway particularly interesting is that it  doesn’t have traditional files, like the original Office suite. So it was built for the cloud! Like PowerPoint it is a presentation tool but quite different!

Some of our South Africa Microsoft MIEExpert teachers have been creating Sways so I thought I would collect them here for you to see. (I have had to reduce the width of these Sways so they fit into the blog post width!)

1.  Linda Foulkes – Sway One Note Love

Linda says, “This is my Sway entry for the‪#‎OneNoteSwayLove‬ contest!”Linda used a Sway to present information on One Note

The interesting thing about these cloud-based products is that you can easily embed them into your blog or website post. Here is Linda’s Sway

2. Warren Sparrow ‘One Note’

Warren says about his Sway, “My Sway about OneNote. I hope that you all enjoy it. I needed to install the app on the Office 365 cloud. For those that have not done this yet, it is really easy and took me less than 10 minutes!!”

Here is Warren’s Sway…

3. Kathryn Riva – ‘The mysteries of Ëgypt’

This is what Kathryn says about her Sway, “This is the Sway I have created as an introduction to our first theme in History on Egypt. It will be a ‘flipping the classroom’ task.’’

Here is Kathryn’s Sway…

4. Mabore Lekalakal – ‘Khan Academy Math- Learners’ Reality’

Mabore has created three Sways. Here is the first one.

Here is Mabore’s Sway…

5. Mabore Lekalakala – ‘One Note’

Here is Mabore’s second Sway.

6. Makhudu Machaba

Makhudu made a Sway about her achievement

Here is Makhudu’s Sway…

7. Phuti Ragophala – ‘Animation Learners work – Microsoft 2014’

Phuti created a Sway about poverty in South Africa

Here is Phuti’s Sway

8. Mabore Lekalakal – Educators’Training Conducted

This is mabore’s third Sway. This is a Sway Mabore made about her training teachers in the Teaching with Technology course

Here is her Sway…

Well done to our South African MiEExperts who have explored this amazing application. In another blogpost we will show you how to go about creating a Sway.
