(1) Bring Your Own Device – does it work?

Summary:

Two educators relate the ins and outs plus successes of introducing the BYOD approach at their schools. In the ‘Bring Your Own Device’ approach the students are encouraged to bring their own technology like smartphones, tablets, and laptops to school for educational use in the classroom.

(2) Get the hang of a Google Hangout

Summary:

This webinar introduces you to Google hangouts which have great potential for educators. Hangouts are free video chats from Google that enables both one-on-one chats and group chats with up to ten people at a time (apparently now up to 15 if used for education). You can watch YouTube videos, share documents, collaborate on a Google document or use a whiteboard to name but a few of the amazing features.
