If you teach in the Johannesburg or Cape Town area, Microsoft and Computers4Kids are excited to invite you to a free, hands-on experience of Minecraft: Education Edition. Minecraft: Education Edition is already transforming classroom learning all over the world and these hands-on experiences will give you a taste of what this is all about.

What is Minecraft: Education Edition?

Minecraft: Education Edition (M:EE) is a version of the popular open world game, Minecraft, specifically designed for education. It contains features that make Minecraft more accessible and effective in a classroom setting. It immerses students in a virtual landscape that fosters collaboration, stimulates problem solving, and inspires creativity while exploring subjects from art to maths, history to science.

Who is the presenter at these sessions?

The guest speaker and trainer will be Stephen Reid from Immersive Minds. Stephen is based in the United Kingdom and is a creative producer with a passion for merging ICT with education, art and culture. He is a games-based learning pioneer, bringing a wealth of off-the-shelf games to the forefront of educational thinking. Stephen is a Minecraft teacher, running a Minecraft server dedicated to teachers and parents all over the world and running lessons with children and Minecraft in curriculum learning.
