ICTs to Enrich Teaching and Learning MOOC now open
The African Virtual University (AVU) and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) have officially launched today ICTs to Enrich Teaching and Learning MOOC. Based on unique learning expectations and needs, participants will go through a wide variety of learning activities designed to help them improve.
The first module has now started and the second module will start on March 16th 2015.
The first module will explain you what ICTs are and help you understand how is related to teaching and learning. You will be guided through a process called S.A.K.E.© (skills, attitude, knowledge and experience) to help you personalize, apply and extend your learning.
The second module will explain why we use ICTs in Teaching and Learning. We will go through the cost and the pedagogical implications of integrating ICTS in Education.
The third module will be more practical. You will be able to apply ICTs tools to enhance your teaching and learning and examine the benefit for an online teacher training.
The last module will focus on how ICTS improve your productivity regarding your management skills and support administration in the classroom and at a school level.
