LL9's visit to Cambodia
The other day we left
at 10:30 by TG 691 and arrived at Bangkok International airport at 11:35 and continued our trip to Pochentong (PNH), Phnom Penh , Cambodia at 18:10 by TG 698 and arrived there at 19:25. We stayed at Hotel Cambodiana in Phnom Penh . It is a very beautiful place. There are many attractive places in Cambodia . We visited the Royal Palace, with its famous Silver Pagoda (whose floor consists of 5000 silver tiles), and the recently restored National Museum (which includes bronze and stone sculptures from the Angkor period). We went on
river cruises, some offered dolphin watching, operated on the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers near the capital. We also went to Independence Monument, Wat Phnom and the market area where we bought hand-woven silks, silver, gems and some antiques. Then on March 22 we left for Bangkok after saying words of thanks to Mr. Yi Sophoan roatanak, a language teacher of Cambodia.
