What is a Learning Circle?
A Learning Circle is an inter-classroom collaboration model. Typically 6-8 classes, connected through the Internet, form part of a Learning Circle. Each class carries out its own separate investigation. At a pre-determined stage, each class sends out a question or survey to the other classes in the Learning Circle. The other classes all respond as soon as possible. The data collected will help each class with its own investigation. Finally each class is able to share its findings from its investigation with the rest of the Learning Circle and more widely.

A Learning Circle is an organised project where several classes collaborate with each other through the Internet. It is flexible because each class can conduct its own investigation.
If other classes are in different geographical locations and from different cultures the data that your class can collect from them is likely to be very interesting and will add value to your investigation.
