As part of our Microsoft YouthSpark project, SchoolNet SA recently partnered with the Mpumalanga ICT Club to train over 230 teachers, at four different centres, to run basic computer science workshops with their learners. During the training of trainers workshops teachers from Emalahleni, Siyabuswa, Waterval Boven and Kanyamazane mastered the Hour of Code and tried their hand at Scratch programming; they found out about continuing their professional development using the Microsoft Educator Community; and they learnt about the Mpumpalanga ICT Club community of practice and other initiatives that they can get involved in.
