Mduduzi MndebeleOur #followfriday #fridayfeature #meetourstaff staff champion today is one of the most efficient hard working person Mduduzi Mndebele. Mduduzi has been working for SchoolNet SA for a year now, and he is loving his journey. He is a Digital Learning Support Specialist based in NM Tsuene Secondary School in Pretoria, Ga-Rankuwa. As a Learning Support Specialist, Mduduzi is dedicated to make a change in his community, he is driven by helping teachers and learners understand the value Technology can bring in their professional and personal space. His aim is to inspire the people he works with to be the best they can be in the ICT space and use every opportunity given to them to their full advantage.

When asked what he likes most about working for SchoolNet he said:

”What I like about SchoolNet is that it gives people opportunities to grow, build their future and learn new things when it comes to technology. And it is a non-profit organisation that aims to empower teachers to use technology as a catalyst for change.”

When we asked him to point out his favourite SchoolNet project, he said:

”Telkom is the project I am part of and it is one of my favourite, why, I love the ability to develop the effective educational use of the provided ICT facilities in schools by running a programme that is workplace-based, face-to-face and also provide mentorship for teachers who have chosen the path to develop themselves professionally in the space of computers and the Internet in education. Within the Telkom project Mine craft is my ultimate favourite programme to work on with students. Mine craft is a coding game that teaches learners how to code, create and follow instructions, think out of the box and be part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”

So, what does he want to achieve this year?

”The ultimate achievement is to reach the point of my boss’ abilities 😁😁 Omashani Naidoo. However for this year, I want to learn as much as I can and take chances, and do things that other people aren’t willing to do, take risks! I want to make a difference in the ICT space and keep changing the lives of my teachers. The focus is to continue with my studies and enhance my IT skills.”
