Creating Learner Assessments - continued
Step 2: Planning the Assessment for My Learner Sample
During this step, you plan a assessment for your learner sample.
Factors to Consider When Planning an Assessment
A clearly defined purpose is the first step in designing classroom assessment. To help focus on your assessment purpose:
- Review your notes from Module 4, Activity 2, Planning My Learner Sample.
- Open your learner sample and think about the following questions as you review the sample:
- What concepts, skills, and knowledge will be assessed?
- How will the Curriculum-Framing Questions be assessed?
- What higher-order thinking skills will be assessed?
- What 21st Century skills will be assessed?
- Record your thoughts using the Planning the Assessment table in Module 5, Activity 2, Step 2: Planning the Assessment for My Learner Sample in your Notebook.
