Step 2: Creating a Learner Support Resource
In this step, you choose one of the following options to create a resource that learners will use to support their learning during your project:
Option 1: Creating a document
Option 2: Creating a document template
Option 3: Creating a presentation template
Option 4: Creating a form
Note: Think about Tomlinson's four ways of differentiating learning as you create your learner support resource.
Option 1: Creating a Document
- Use word processing software to create your document.
Save your document in the /learner_support folder of your Portfolio folder.

Option 2: Creating a Document Template
- Use any of the design features noted in Option 1 to create a document.
Save your publication as a template in the /learner_support folder of your Portfolio folder. (See Word Processing Skill 10.4.)
Option 3: Creating a Presentation Template
In this option, you can create a new template, or if you have a learner sample
presentation, you can use it as a basis for creating a template.
- Refer to the Multimedia section of the Help Guide, as needed.
Save your presentation as a template in the /learner_support folder in your Portfolio folder. (See Multimedia Skill 4.5.)
Option 4: Creating a Form
A form is a document with spaces reserved for entering information. You can create fill-in text boxes, check boxes, and drop-down lists.

When finished, save your form in the /learner_support folder in your Portfolio folder.
