Showcasing My Project Portfolio - continued
Step 2: Viewing Project Portfolios
In this activity, you look at concrete examples of units of work that incorporate projects in
different ways. You also analyze several Project Portfolios using the Project Characteristics Checklist you reviewed in the previous step.
Use the Help Guide if you need assistance in completing any ICT skills identified below.
- View sample Project Portfolios located in the Project Portfolios section on the CD or view sample projects on the Intel® Education website.
Go to: www.intel.com/education/DesignProjects
- Click Project Plan Index.
- Review projects based on grade / phase or subject / learning area.
Note: Some learner samples have sound (voice recordings, music, and sound effects). Be sure to enable sound on your computer and turn on speakers or use headsets, if available. (See Operating Environment Group 3.)
- As you review the Project Portfolios, consider where and how they address the various elements of the Project Characteristics Checklist.
- Take notes on any ideas you could adapt for use in your own Project Portfolio.
Optional: If you are interested in information about teaching with projects in a one-to-one environment, read 1:1 Computing Scenarios located in the One-to-One Computing folder on the CD.
- Discuss the following questions briefly in a small group:
- In what ways did the units of work incorporate projects?
- How could you use these project ideas to enhance your own units of work
