Intel donates 100 Classmate PCs to Abel T Motshoane High School in Gauteng.

Classmate Here Nathan Reddy is demonstrating to teachers at this the school how the Classmate PC works.  He showing teachers how a student can communicate with a teacher and also orientating them on MS Office, Internet Explorer and the content available from the Intel educational website, Skoool.

The Classmate PC is a small, robust, lightweight and fully functional  laptop computer that has wireless capabilities and adequate battery life and is particularly appropriate for learners.

Intel’s aim is to deploy classmates to 20 schools in a number of provinces during 2008. Discussions have already begun with a number of provincial departments of education.
