Step 3: Reflecting on Map-Building

After the mapping activity, discuss with the group the following questions:

• Did you and your partner immediately agree on what to map? Did you talk about your ideas and compromise? Or did you add ideas from both of you to the map?
• What did you talk about as you created your map?
• Did viewing other teams' maps give you other ideas?
• In what ways do you think the Seeing Reason Tool would be beneficial to learners who are studying a system or issue that involves cause and effect?
