SchoolNet South Africa facilitated a training session for Expo Science on the 29th March 2025, at Birchwood Hotel, Gauteng. The training was attended by 47 Master trainers from various provinces across South Africa, sharing insights on a variety of modules designed to enhance facilitation skills and knowledge.
Key modules included self-awareness through personality tests, bridging gaps between training and practice, exploring different facilitation models, effective communication, recognizing non-verbal cues through gamified learning, and strategies for promoting engagement.
The training was a resounding success, with participants gaining valuable skills and expertise in these areas. One participant noted, “The session was very engaging, and it accommodated the various regions, ethnic groups, and cultural beliefs of our people. I enjoyed that it was broken up into sessions and the sessions allowed us to be part of the presentation as well.”
