Thabang TshabalalaOur #followfriday #fridayfeature #meetourstaff staff champion is a man of few words, a man of few wise words who has an eye for creative and beautiful art, a man who believes that his thoughts make him who he is, and most importantly, a man who is in sync with his physical and spiritual existence, Thabang Tshabalala. Thabang has worked for SchoolNet SA for two amazing years as a Digital Learning Specialist based in one of the Telkom Connected Schools, Ruabohlale Secondary School.

Thabang‘s focus is on pedagogical skills that not only promote Digital Education but skills that are in demand within cyberspace (internet) for teaching & learning. The support that Thabang offers aims to demonstrate how the use of ICT and online tools can change how the school management, the teachers, and learners look at the education system.

When asked what he likes most about working for SchoolNet he said:

‘’Above everything I like the challenge that comes with having to switch from training someone younger than you to training someone way older than you. It somehow reveals me to me.’’

When we asked him to point out his favourite SchoolNet project, he said:

‘’ l love all SchoolNet SA projects. But I can go with the one I’m involved in now, the Telkom Connect Project, The High School program. Maybe because I got the opportunity to train people to easily adapt to the world of ICT and be part of the 4IR’’

So, what does he want to achieve this year?

‘’I have a lot of things I want to achieve. If I had to base my answer on what I do in this project I would say I want to be recognized for the effort I put in terms of Learner and Teacher development. I’m almost there. Other than that, I’ve always wanted to donate plates to the school. That is something I’m looking into. And It can be done.’’

So, why not follow him, he is Thabang Tshabalala (Vita) on Facebook, @JustVitaNeh(Thabang Tshabalala) on Twitter, and @justsayvita & @Vitamin_24 on Instagram
