Telkom Connected Schools complete the Hour of Code
The Technical Support Specialists based at Telkom Connected Schools in Zwide, Eastern Cape and Garankuwa, Gauteng have been using the last few weeks of school to expose learners to basic coding concepts. SchoolNet SA recently provided 155 teachers from the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education with the skills and resources to introduce learners to basic coding and computational thinking activities. We hope that using the free #YouthSpark resources for learner activities, and the Microsoft Educator Community for ongoing professional development, will help the teachers to make effective use of the laptops their schools have received.
